About READY+BOX

Be prepared. Feel reassured.

At READY+BOX, we believe being prepared for the unexpected should be simple, practical and affordable.

Power cuts, severe weather, water supply interruptions and other unexpected events can disrupt everyday life. While we can't always predict when these things will happen, we can take sensible steps to make sure our households are better prepared.

That's why we created READY+BOX.

Emergency preparedness made simple

Preparing an emergency food supply can feel like another job on an already busy to-do list.

What food should you buy? How much will you need? What other essentials should you keep at home?

READY+BOX takes the hassle out of getting started by bringing together familiar, long-life food and practical emergency supplies in one convenient box.

Our aim is simple: make it easier for UK households to prepare before they need to.

Familiar food. Practical essentials.

We don't believe emergency preparedness needs to mean unfamiliar survival rations or expensive specialist equipment.

Instead, we focus on everyday cupboard staples — the kinds of foods people already know and recognise.

Our READY+BOX kits are designed around seven days of food for two adults, alongside useful emergency essentials such as a torch, radio and power bank.

We also offer a vegetarian option, because preparedness should work for different dietary preferences.

Each kit includes a meal guide to help you make the most of your food supplies.

Why preparedness matters

Unexpected disruptions don't have to become emergencies if you've taken some simple precautions.

Having food and useful equipment ready at home can help reduce the stress of situations such as:

Power cuts and electricity supply interruptions
Severe weather and temporary travel disruption
Unexpected difficulties getting to the shops
Other short-term disruptions to everyday routines

UK government preparedness guidance encourages households to plan ahead and keep essential supplies at home.

READY+BOX offers a convenient way to start putting that advice into practice.

READY+BOX is an independent business and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the UK government.

Preparedness without the panic

We're not here to encourage fear or worst-case thinking.

We believe preparedness is about peace of mind — knowing you've taken a sensible step to look after yourself and your household.

A READY+BOX can be stored at home, ready for when everyday life doesn't quite go to plan.

And while our kits provide a useful starting point, we always encourage customers to consider their household's individual needs, including drinking water, medication, hygiene products, dietary requirements and supplies for children or pets.

Our promise

We want READY+BOX to stand for three simple things:

Simplicity — straightforward emergency supplies without unnecessary complications.
Practicality — familiar food and useful equipment selected with real households in mind.
Reassurance — helping you feel more confident about handling unexpected disruptions.
